For those who are looking for a powerful computer but do not have a budget large enough to purchase the Predator Orion 9000, Acer has a very interesting option in its range. It is the Acer Predator Orion 3000, a medium-sized tower with a very balanced technical assembly. It is equipped with the latest Intel processors, NVIDIA RTX graphics, a good storage system, lots of memory, and state-of-the-art connectivity. Let’s take a look at what the new version of the Predator Orion 3000 has to offer.
Tenth Generation Intel and RTX Graphics Processor from NVIDIA
Just because it’s a little cheaper than its big brother doesn’t mean we won’t find a powerful technical package inside the Predator Orion 3000. To start with, it is equipped with the tenth generation of Intel Core i7 processors, although there is also a version with an Intel Core i5 processor.
Along with the processor, there will be up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666 MHz. The storage system is also configurable, with up to 1 TB SSD NVMe and the option of including two 3.5-inch SATA3 hard disks.
There are also several options for the graphics section, some of which are very powerful. From an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics, but there is also an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER and even an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER.
To keep this technical package fresh, the Acer Predator Orion 3000 includes two custom-designed Predator FrostBlade fans. These are capable of easily managing air intake and output to keep temperatures as low as possible.
Completing the technical package is a Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet connection, WiFi 6 connectivity with MU-MIMO support, and a Bluetooth 5.1 connection. So, as you can see, we have an updated connectivity section.
Finally, in terms of design, the Acer Predator Orion 3000 has an optional EMI-certified tempered glass side panel showing the device components.
You can also see the colorful RGB interior lighting, as the aforementioned Predator FrostBlade fans feature a light system and the unit also includes a vertical light bar.
Price and Availability
The Acer Predator Orion 3000 will be available from August at a price starting from $899 for the standard model.
