ASUS has presented true OLED artillery of laptops with 4K panels, convertible formats, and power in style

ASUS has renewed well-known series and expanded its portfolio of laptops in style and with many new features, in some cases in a more direct way towards creative professionals (in many of its facets). Powerful graphics and processors, high resolution, and a lot of familiar faces like Pantone in the new ASUS OLED laptops.

About the ProArt series, the devices add some interesting bonuses for certain areas where maximum performance and panels with high definition and color fidelity are required, remaining as direct rivals to the Acer ConceptD in terms of performance and hardware, as we will now see.

The new laptops are ASUS ProArt Studiobook Pro 16 OLED W7600, ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 OLED, ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED (and Flip OLED), and ASUS ExpertBook B5 OLED (and Flip OLED).

The Studiobook incorporates a 4K OLED HDR panel with a 16:10 ratio, thus seeking to meet the characteristics that a design professional, photo editing, and other more demanding professions in terms of image quality may seek. In this sense, the brand insisted on calibration, not only ensuring that it covers the DCI-P3 color space, but also that it has the approval of Pantone and other companies related to calibration and colors.

At the heart of this new laptop, we see several options both at the level of processor and memories, being able to opt for an Intel Xeon W-11955M at 2.6 GHz. An NVIDIA RTX A3000 or RTX A5000 can be chosen, allowing 8K video editing, among other features.

ASUS ProArt Studiobook Pro 16 OLED W7600 ports

With up to 4 TB of storage and up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM, the ProArt Studiobook Pro is armed with ports, including four USB 3.2 (Type-A and Type-C), a Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader, among others. Although what stands out at first glance when opened is the control dial that is placed between the keyboard and the touchpad, which allows you to have a quick menu of on-screen accesses and add one more level of interaction in the workflow, especially focused on making working with Adobe suite applications more comfortable.

In addition to this W7600 model, there are other variants with AMD processors or with an Intel Core i9, although ASUS has not communicated the prices of any of them at the moment.

The new ZenBook Pro 15 picks up very well the baton of its predecessor, presented about a year ago, being able to opt up to that 4K resolution that we already saw in its OLED but adding touch capability (although the option validated by Pantone remains in the configuration with FullHD IPS). We also see that they are switching to AMD Ryzen (with its integrated graphics also from this manufacturer), having the alternative of carrying an NVIDIA GeForce 3050 Ti.

Storage reaches 1 TB with an SSD and there are models with up to 16 GB of RAM. It also has WiFi 6 and in its design, we see the “traditional” ASUS hinge, which allows the computer to be raised at an angle of 3 degrees. The Duo model is also maintained, with the dual-screen.

The most compact option of the new series is in generic terrain, which comes in traditional or convertible format with a touchscreen. Both incorporate an OLED screen and maintain the 16:10 format we saw in the Studiobook, with the ScreenPad (the screen inserted in the touchpad) in the case of the standard format. Both are available in 4K or 2.8K resolution at 90 Hz.

Another model aimed at professional use, in this case also available in a convertible format like the 14-inch ZenBooks. The ExpertBooks are available in 13.3-inch panels, making them an option if mobility and lightness are required.

With a touchscreen option, they represent a similar option to the previous ones, including more Intel Core processor options and up to 48 GB of RAM, with the RAID0 storage option. However, integrated graphics and a 4-cell battery, although it has US MIL-STD 810H military resistance certification in the case of the Flip, may be of interest in some contexts.
