Asus has just made official its new gaming laptops for 2020, among them are the Strix family, the Zephyrus and the TUF. This last family is the one we are looking into, the Asus TUF Gaming F15 and F17. These two laptops come with updated components, although they are one step below in power and innovation, instead they focus on military resistance and a larger battery. More Compact with Better Battery and Military Resistance

When talking about the design of gaming laptops, it is important to understand the personal tastes and preferences of each person. But in this case, it is essential, because the Asus TUF Gaming F15 and F17 have a gaming design inside, but with a more modest exterior. However, the most important thing about this design is that it has gone through resistance tests and has passed them obtaining the MIL-STD-810H certification. This means that we will not have to worry about carrying them in our backpacks, they will survive the ups and downs of the journey without any problem.

Asus TUF Gaming

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 and F17 have a modern interior but are more modest compared to the Asus Zephyrus, but they will fit perfectly for most games, but not for games that demand higher graphics. They mount tenth generation Intel processors, the i5-10300H or the i7-10750H depending on the model you choose. For the RAM they have 32GB DDR4 at 3200 MHz as maximum, as for the storage an NVMe PCIe M.2 unit of up to 1TB.

The graphics section says NVIDIA, they are not RTX, and they are not 10 series graphics either. Instead, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX is present and it depends on the model you choose. For the Asus TUF Gaming F15, there are three options: GeForce GTX1650, GeForce GTX 1650Ti, and GeForce GTX1660Ti. The Asus TUF Gaming F17 only has 2 options, you can only choose between the GeForce GTX1650 and the GeForce GTX 1650Ti. These graphic configurations are according to the refresh rates of both laptops.

Asus TUF Gaming

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 has a 15-inch screen with Full HD resolution and its refresh rate is 144Hz. The Asus TUF Gaming F17 instead has a larger diagonal, 17 inches, maintaining the same resolution, but with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Both are good options for games that don’t require extensive graphics but do need fast reactions. Another new feature of the new Asus TUF Gaming F15 and F17 is a larger battery, 90Wh to be precise.

Price and Availability

So far Asus has not specified any of this data. However, the Asus TUF Gaming F15 and F17 are most likely gaming laptops at a low price. It is expected that they will arrive destined to that starting sector in which good specifications are sought without the need to break the piggy bank. As soon as we know all the data corresponding to the availability and price we will update the article.
