The upcoming Galaxy Note 20 Plus had the first images leaked on the internet. The illustrations from Samsung’s mobile phone reveal a 6.9-inch screen and lenses larger than the predecessor Galaxy Note 10 Plus. The smartphone design should be a blend of Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S20, featuring curved edges and a square look.
Galaxy Note 20 Plus is scheduled to be introduced in August alongside Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2. The launch event is scheduled to take place via live streaming due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
In terms of size, Galaxy Note 20 Plus is expected to have a 6.9 inch screen, relatively larger than the 6.7 inch expected for the traditional Note 20. The phone is expected to be 165 mm long, 77.2 mm wide and 7.6 mm thick.
The smartphone design should have minimal edges similar to those of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, slanted sides and camera inside the screen. The USB-C loading port should also be present. The launch is not expected to feature the old P2 (3.5 mm) headphone port.
The difference is in the S Pen, which is to be located at the bottom left. Generally, Samsung’s exclusive pen is located on the lower right side of the mobile phones. In addition, smartphones in the Note 20 line are expected to have the power on buttons and the volume control on the right side.
Another significant change in the new smartphone is the camera. The Galaxy Note 10 Plus has three vertically sheltered lenses, while the flash and ToF sensor are positioned apart. Galaxy Note 20 Plus is expected to gather the entire photo set into a rectangle.
According to the renderings, which are images taken on the computer and not photographs of the original product, Galaxy Note 20 Plus is expected to feature a quad camera. Three sensors should be vertically aligned, while the other camera should be below the LED flash, which can be a depth sensor. The main camera is also expected to be 108 MP, just like the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The phone should also have a dedicated focus sensor.
Although speculation indicates that Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Plus may have similar designs, rumors point to differences in technical specifications. The Note 20 Plus is expected to have a 120 Hz refresh rate compared to the 60 Hz standard for the traditional Note 20.
The battery of the Plus model should also be larger than the 4,000 mAh component of the standard Galaxy Note 20. In addition, the phone may be the first to have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display itself with second-generation Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max technology.
