The date of release of Google Pixel 4 is finally approaching: on Tuesday, the 15th of October, Google will hold an event in New York to present the successor to the Pixel 3. Next to Pixel 4 XL, the device can be considered one of the most leaked information in the history of technology. Another device that has made headlines recently is the laptop supposedly called the Pixelbook Go.
In the following lines, know what to expect from the event Made by Google.
Canvas and industrial design
The look of the device is not a secret at all, as the images were released by Google itself. The mark seems to have left behind the two-tone frosted glass on the back to make room for a monochrome design. Supposedly available in black, white and orange, it is possible to notice from the leaked photos the permanence of a black band on the side.
The phones are not much different from their predecessors in terms of screen size – Pixel 4 would have 5.7 inches and Pixel 4 XL with 6.3 inches. Other rumors point out that the device will come with a faster, smoother display due to its 90Hz display rate.
Evolution of the technical file
According to leaked information, both devices will feature 6 GB RAM, plus 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage. The unofficially disclosed technical data sheet also guarantees that the products should have a battery of 2,800 mAh (Pixel 4) and 3,700 mAh (Pixel 4 XL). It would be a big improvement to Pixel 3.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and Android 10 system are also expected.
As revealed in the manufacturer’s own publication, the handset will feature two cameras on the rear surface – following a square structure similar to that found on new iPhones.
The phone may feature a 12 MP main and 16 MP secondary sensor. Nevertheless, the new product should leave behind the angled front grille camera. Apparently only an 8 MP camera will be available for selfies. Motion Mode, Astrophotography Mode, and Night Vision are other features that would be present.
In a video posted on the Internet, Google revealed that both the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL, will have its own facial unlocking system, similar to the biometrics Face ID from Apple.
Another very interesting function has to do with the Project Soli motion sensor. It would allow the user to send commands using only manual gestures, just like the one on LG G8S ThinQ.
It is noteworthy that so far no reliable information about the value of products and availability in the market has been leaked. However, it is expected that the price of the product will be more expensive than Pixel 3 sold for $ 3,090, due to several improvements.
In addition to smartphones, Google will also introduce Pixelbook Go, its new Chromebook. According to information released by 9to5Google, the model would arrive with a 13.3-inch screen and options in Full HD and 4K; Intel Core m3, i5, or i7 processors; 8 to 16 GB RAM memory; and storage up to 256 GB. The website also found that the model will have front microphones and cameras capable of recording in 1080p at up to 60 frames per second (fps), indicating good quality for video calls.
Google’s new laptop may disappoint on the interfaces as it has only two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio output. Therefore, connecting peripherals or extending the system screen can be a problem while the notebook is charging. In design, the template would bring a textured base and two color options: black and a kind of salmon pink.
