Google’s Public DNS: How to Improve the Internet on Windows and macOS

Google’s public DNS is a free solution that can be used on Windows PCs or MacOS to improve the Internet. DNS (Domain Name System) is the bridge that is responsible for translating website IPs into friendly addresses – such as IP 186.192.90.5 at Globo.com. This service is provided by Internet operators, but the servers are not always good and can fail and prevent access to websites or be slow. The solution, in this case, is to use a reliable alternative like Google’s public DNS.

In the following tutorial, check how to change your computer’s DNS address and use Google’s DNS. Step by step shows how to perform the procedure on PCs with Windows 10 and also on your Mac. In the latter, the images were captured on MacOS Catalina, but the tips also apply to other versions of Apple’s system.
