Huawei V75 Super and V98: Features, Reviews, and Price

Along with the new Huawei P50, the Chinese manufacturer unveils its two latest TV models. One of them with 98 inches, the largest to date of Huawei, and another with MiniLED technology, with a brightness delivery capacity of up to 3,000 nits, as reported by the company.

These are the new Huawei “Vision” V75 Super and Vision V98, two TVs presented in China and arriving together with HarmonyOS 2. Little by little, Huawei is expanding its catalog of TVs and begins to introduce technologies that bring it closer and closer to the established manufacturers in this market.

A leap in image quality thanks to 46,080 MiniLED dots

Huawei V75 Super and V98

The most interesting model is the new Huawei V75 Super, where there is a 75-inch 4K TV with MiniLED technology and 46,080 LEDs. A TV with thin aluminum edges, 0.15mm thick, where Huawei promises about 3,000 nits, with a 1,000:1 contrast and 97% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. In total, the TV has 2,880 backlight zones controlled with proprietary PRO+ technology.

Huawei offers us a 120 Hz panel and for its characteristics, it fits within the high end of TVs. However, Huawei talks about HDR Vivid, a proprietary HDR format alternative to HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

On the other hand, Huawei also presents an LCD TV with 98 inches. The Huawei V98 is its largest model to date, with a 120 Hz 4K panel, although without the implementation of MiniLED technology.

Both models offer Huawei Sound signed by Devialet, but the V75 Supermodel stands out with up to 75W of power and a 20-speaker configuration: 4 for the center channel, 6 for left and right, 4 for the surround system, and 6 for the subwoofer.

In terms of connectivity, these TVs come with up to four HDMI ports, none of them are HDMI 2.1.

For the operating system, Huawei opts again for HarmonyOS 2, its system capable of linking with the mobile and managing applications like the front camera of 24 megapixels.

The Huawei V75 Super is available to buy in China at an official price of 24,999 yuan, about €3,256/$3871.97 at direct exchange rates. The 98-inch model is officially priced at 29,999 yuan, about €3,908/$4491.51 at the exchange rate.
