Intel announced the release of a special edition of the Intel Core i9 9900K processor. The new model, the Core i9 9900KS, arrives this Wednesday (30) in the United States market with a price of US$ 513. The chip promises to be the best gamer option in the market, with robust specifications.
The component’s datasheet features eight cores and 16 threads, a 4 GHz base clock, and turbo-clock speeds up to 5 GHz. According to the manufacturer, in these configurations, users have access to ideal environments for gaming and streaming without any drop in performance.
The new processor is compatible with the Z390 chipset motherboards, allowing enthusiasts to explore the full potential of the chip. In addition, the CPU features the Intel Performance Maximizer system, which aims to make frequency adjustment more appropriate according to the user’s overclock profile. Despite being an advanced segment chip, the Intel Core i9 9900KS comes with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 video solution supporting up to 64 GB of memory.
Among the key gains from migrating to Intel’s new platform, users can get up to 17% more performance to render 4K video than the previous generation. Another improvement is 35% more gaming performance when comparing the component to that used on computers three years ago. The special edition Core i9 is available for a limited time in a number of international market stores.
Among the other features of the product, it is also worth highlighting its 14 nm lithography, the same used in other components of Intel’s ninth generation of processors. In addition, 16 MB cache memory and support for resolutions up to 4K are also important points. As for RAM, the chip allows up to 128 GB to be installed in the DDR4 standard, which is the most common on the market.
