Apple iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max

The iPhone 12 Pro features a Super Retina XDR screen with 2532 x 1170 pixels (460 PPI) resolution and 6.1 inches. The OLED panel with thin edges is also present on the Apple cell phone display. On the other side, Galaxy Note 20 brings a slightly larger screen of 6.7 inches and a resolution equivalent to 2400 x 1080 pixels (393 PPI). The technology used in the panel is Super AMOLED Plus.

The differences between the design of the devices are clear to consumers. The apple company’s smartphone brings rounded edges and a square camera module, besides keeping the notch to house the selfies camera. The available colors are silver, graphite, gold, and blue.

The Galaxy Note 20 has square edges and a rectangular module. The front camera appears in a small hole in the center of the screen. The South Korean phone can be found in bronze, green, and gray finishes, and each model includes an S Pen of the same color.

One of the highlights of the iPhone 12 Pro is the front panel in Ceramic Shield, which promises to be the most resistant glass among mobile phones today. Galaxy Note 20 uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus technology, also with the promise of strong impact resistance.

Still, on the protection of smartphones, both receive IP68 certification, which offers protection of up to 30 minutes in cases of submersion of up to 1.5 meters in freshwater. Besides, it also protects the device against dust traces.

The South Korean manufacturer is also not behind in video recordings. The quality of capture in 8K (120 fps) represents double of that offered by the competitor, of 4K (60 fps). On the other hand, the iPhone takes advantage by capturing 12 MP selfies, as opposed to 10 MP provided by Galaxy Note 20.

The Exynos 990 processor used in Galaxy Note 20 scored 516,138 points in the same ranking. The model in question is an octa-core and works with two high-performance cores up to 2.73 GHz, two mid-range at 2.5 GHz, and four 2 GHz cores. Samsung’s smartphone also features 8 GB RAM.

Apple does not officially report the RAM capacity of the iPhone 12 Pro, but specialized websites estimate the smartphone to be 6GB.

When it comes to storage, the iPhone 12 Pro takes advantage by providing three options for internal memory. They are 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The internal space of Galaxy Note 20 is equivalent to the mid-range version of the competitor, with 256 GB. Neither of the two offers memory card support.

Battery

Apple also did not reveal the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 Pro. The only information provided by the manufacturer was the duration of up to 11 hours of video streaming and up to 65 hours of audio. However, experts report that the component has 2,815 mAh.

Galaxy Note 20 should be ahead of the competitor on this issue. This is because the component has 4,300 mAh and a promised duration of a full day. Another advantage of the South Korean phone is the presence of the plug adapter in the box. Apple has caused controversy by removing the charger and headphones from the device packaging after the launch of the iPhone 12 line.

In common, the phones offer a fast-charging system, which promises to replenish 50% of the charge in up to 30 minutes. Both also feature wireless recharging. iPhone 12 also features MagSafe magnet technology that couples accessories through magnetism at the back of the smartphone.

Operating System

Both phones work with the latest versions of their respective operating systems. In the case of the iPhone, the factory-installed software is iOS 14.
