A versatile tablet for multimedia content

Lenovo Tab M10 Plus 2022

The Lenovo Tab M10 Plus is a tablet that does not aim to impress with its power, but rather tries to be a very affordable device focused on allowing users to enjoy multimedia content. This mid-range commitment is seen in one of its processors, the MediaTek G80 used for the WiFi version, which was launched in 2020. The LTE version has a different but also mid-range processor, the Snapdragon SDM680.

This device has a 10.61-inch IPS LCD, with 2K resolution and 400 nits brightness. 85% of the front surface is the screen, which means that this device has fairly tight bezels on the front, and is without any physical button.

As we have said, it has a 2K resolution at 2000 x 1200 pixels, which according to the manufacturer, is going to allow you to enjoy content from video streaming platforms at FullHD resolutions. This is less than 2K, but many streaming platforms do not have this resolution and jump directly from 1080p to 4K.

One of the great assets of this tablet when it comes to enjoying this content is in the audio. It is not that they are going to offer it in high definition, but it is compatible with Dolby Atmos sound. This sound technology means that through the 4 speakers that the tablet has, you can hear how the different ones are placed at different points, giving you a feeling of being inside the song. Obviously, for this, you will need that the song or video you are listening to uses this surround sound technology.

In addition to this, the tablet has optimized reading mode settings and the optional folio case that you can add. Its display is also TÃœV certified for low blue light, which means less eye fatigue, especially at night.

And if you like to take notes or draw, it’s also compatible with Lenovo’s Precision Pen 2, and the Instant Memo notes application. This will allow you to quickly write what’s on your mind, and if drawing is your thing, Lenovo claims to have 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity to know exactly how hard you’re squeezing the stylus, and that the results are faithfully reflected. We’ll have to wait for a review to see for ourselves.

The Tab M10 Plus has dimensions of 7.45 mm in height and 465 grams in weight in its initial configurations, although the exact sizes and weights of its models have not been specified. They feature 8-megapixel cameras on both the front and rear, meant to deliver on the basics. It also has configurations of up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, although other configurations have not been specified.

Finally, the device comes equipped with a 7,700 mAh battery, which according to Lenovo offers an autonomy of up to 12 hours in continuous video playback. However, as always in these cases, depending on the tasks you perform consumption may be higher, so you can expect less autonomy if you use games or more demanding applications.
