Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 LTE: Features, Reviews, and Price

Some months ago, Mobvoi launched the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, a smartwatch with high-end Wear OS that stood out for being the first to mount the new Snapdragon Wear 4100. It’s a complete clock, but it lacked a quite useful function in some cases: LTE support. It was said that there was a compatible version in the making, and indeed there was: the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 LTE is now official.

The watch is the same as the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS in terms of specifications and design. The only new feature is its compatibility with LTE and its price, of course, which is significantly higher. It will only be available in the United States, Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and will only be compatible with Vodafone’s OneNumber service.

Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 LTE

As we mentioned before, the TicWatch Pro 3 LTE is the same as the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, so we have a device made of plastic and stainless steel, which weighs 42 grams, a leather strap, and a dual display: a full-color AMOLED and a low consumption FSTN. Inside, there is the Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage for downloading applications. Nothing new here.

What is interesting is the connectivity, since the TicWatch Pro 3 LTE is compatible with LTE networks. Initially, it will only be compatible with Vodafone’s OneNumber service, a service that currently costs five euros a month, although Vodafone clients can access a free month’s trial. We do not know if compatibility with other operators will be activated later, although this should not be a problem.

With Vodafone’s OneNumber service, what we are doing is sharing our phone number and line with the watch. This allows users to make calls and receive messages directly on the smartwatch, without having to carry their mobile phone with them. It also allows users to access Google Assistant on their own.

What we will have to see is how the LTE network affects battery consumption. The company promises up to three days in smart mode and up to 45 hours in power-saving mode. We will have to see if having the clock connected to the LTE network at all times means higher consumption.
