Nokia 8.3 5G: Features, Reviews, and Price

HMD and Nokia were two of the companies that announced their withdrawal from the MWC before the official cancellation of the event due to COVID-19. But as they have promised, they have presented the new Nokia 8.3 5G.

A mid-range phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 processor is the first Nokia phone to support 5G, fitting into the mid-range and also marking its Nordic design, this time opting for the hole-punch selfie camera.

Hole-punch screen, reader on the side and a good hump

Nokia mobiles are quite different from others in terms of aesthetics, especially in those famous components that some of their devices have, as is the case. The Nokia 8.3 5G has a central hump at the back with four cameras that do not go overboard, leaving the flash out and with the fingerprint reader on the side.

As we were saying, the screen is punched to allow the front camera to be seen. The 6.81-inch panel has FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), with its PureDisplay designation and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Without holding it, it gives the impression that due to the screen size and weight (220 grams) it will be a huge mobile, not too far from what we saw last year and considering the recent Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, with a 6.9-inch screen and the same weight. Presented in a single color, dark blue (or Polar Night), the rear has some curvature towards the edges and the buttons are distributed on both sides.

The arrival of 5G on Nokia

As we said at the beginning, at the heart of this new Nokia 8.3 is the Snapdragon 765 processor, and with the modem that allows connection to the 5G. As for the memories, there is a 6 and 8 GB RAM option and 128 GB of local storage, with the option of expanding it to 400 GB through a microSD card.

The volume previously mentioned leaves room for a 4500 mAh battery and 18 W fast charge, without further information on this subject is not wireless. However, there is a mini audio jack and a USB C-type port on the base.
