Realme has just launched its new smartwatch, the Realme Watch 2 Pro. It is an improved version of the Realme Watch 2 launched a few days ago that mainly corrects one of the major shortcomings of that device: the integrated GPS chip. It is also noticeably larger.
The device has been launched in Malaysia and we will have to wait to see if it reaches our borders. All the watches launched by Realme to date have done so, the latest being the Realme Watch S Pro, so it’s probably just a matter of time. In Malaysia, its price is 299 ringgit, about €59/$72 at the exchange rate, but we can expect the figure to vary in the case of reaching the market.

Larger and with GPS
The Realme Watch 2 Pro maintains the sporty aesthetics of the Realme Watch 2, i.e., it forgoes the round dial and opts for a square case available in Space Grey and Metallic Silver (gray and silver). The watch weighs 40 grams without the strap, a 22-millimeter strap with standard coupling, and an adjustable length of 150-215 millimeters. It is a very simple device, to the point that the chassis is completely smooth except on the right edge, where the only button on the watch is located.
For the display, Realme has opted for a panel that looks like a 1.75-inch LCD (the one on the Realme Watch 2 is 1.4 inches) with 320 x 385 pixels resolution. Needless to say, it is touch and color. According to Realme, it can be customized with more than 100 watch faces available on Realme Link and, as if that were not enough, animated watch faces can also be installed.
As a smart device, the Realme Watch 2 Pro uses a proprietary operating system that will allow us to receive notifications and calls on the wrist, but sticking to the experience with previous devices, we probably won’t be able to answer them. It also allows users to control the music playing on the cell phone, receive alerts to stay hydrated, and do breathing exercises.
But the most striking point of the Realme Watch 2 Pro is in the sports area. The watch offers 90 sports modes, IP68 water resistance, and an integrated GPS chip. Until now, the only watch with an integrated GPS chip was the Realme Watch S Pro. The fact that the watch has integrated GPS means that we can go out for sports without carrying our cell phone and record the route without any major problems. It is also worth noting that the watch monitors heart rate 24/7 and has a Spo2 sensor.
Finally, in terms of battery, the Realme Watch 2 Pro has 390 mAh which aims to offer up to 14 days of autonomy with continuous heart rate monitoring. This is a substantial improvement over the Realme Watch 2, which has 315 mAh and offers up to 12 days of autonomy.
Pricing and Availability of the Realme Watch 2 Pro
As we indicated earlier, the Realme Watch 2 Pro has been launched in Malaysia. There its price is RM 299, which at the exchange rate is about €59/$72, and it is available in gray and silver with white or black straps.
