Samsung is taking all the reproaches about its vague effort to bring worthwhile devices within the mid-range too seriously. They have presented eight mid-range smartphones this year with the prices ranging from 140 euros for the Samsung Galaxy A10 to 580 euros for the Samsung Galaxy A80. The Korean brand has returned to the fold with two new devices belonging to the mid-range level, that is the new Samsung Galaxy A30s and Samsung Galaxy A50s. In this case, let’s see what Samsung brings us with the cheapest of the two – the Samsung Galaxy A30s.

A Mid-range Phone with Four Cameras

The mid-range standard now seems to be a triple set of rear cameras and a front camera. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy A30s, we have a main sensor combo of 25 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle of 8 megapixels and a depth sensor of 5 megapixels. The latter would only serve to measure three-dimensional space and thus offer a better result in portrait mode. As for the selfie camera, we have a lens with 16 megapixels. We expect an excellent photographic result from this device.

Notch and Super AMOLED Display but Low Resolution

For lovers of bright screens with saturated colors, this Samsung Galaxy A30s convinces because it has a Super AMOLED panel. The problem is that Samsung has decided to limit its resolution to HD + so if you like to enjoy multimedia content on your phone you should look at other options. The screen has a surface of 6.4 inches and a ‘V’ shaped notch on the top that houses the selfie camera.

Its design is also far from what we commonly see in the brand’s gadgets, with a beautiful geometric drawing on the back, as we can see in the image.

Moderate Processor and Various RAM and Storage Options

Samsung has not officially declared the processor that powers this device. So, it’s limited to giving performance figures: an 8-core device: two of them at a clock speed of 1.8GHz and the remaining six at 1.6 GHz. It will be accompanied by two variants of RAM, 3 and 4 GB, plus three storage variants – 32, 64 and 128 GB. In a market as competitive and saturated as that of the mid-range, the user must look with a magnifying glass at all these details because the difference between a device and another can be decided by a handful of dollars.

Connectivity and Additional Functions

Not much is known about this device, apart from the fingerprint sensor will be under the screen, a USB Type-C connection and a compatible fast charge on its 4,000 mAh 15W battery.
