Colorful, simple, and full of Hertz

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is a fairly simple device. It has a thickness of 8.4 millimeters and weighs 187 grams. The company has opted for a clean back available in white, black, mint green, and purple in which we find the logo of the firm and the four cameras located in the upper left corner.

If we flip it over we will see the screen, which is undoubtedly one of the most interesting points of the smartphone. And is that the Galaxy A52s 5G incorporates a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with FullHD+ resolution and, curiously, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, something that is usually reserved for the most powerful models.

That means that the screen is capable of reproducing up to 120 frames per second, which somehow guarantees interface fluidity and a better gaming experience. It is worth noting that the front camera has been hidden in a perforation in the panel itself and the fingerprint reader has been placed underneath.

Qualcomm under the hood and three years of updates

We thus move on to talk about its internal components. While Samsung has bet heavily on its own Exynos processors, the latest releases of the company mount Qualcomm processors and this is no exception. Thus, we find a Snapdragon 778G processor (eight cores at 2.4 GHz maximum speed) whose GPU is the Adreno 642L.

It is accompanied by six or eight gigabytes of RAM which, in turn, arrive with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The combinations could not be simpler: the six gigabyte RAM model has 128 GB of internal storage and the eight gigabyte RAM model, which is also the most expensive, incorporates 256 GB. In both cases, it can be expanded with microSD cards.

On the other hand, it should be noted that the battery is 4,500 mAh and has 25W fast charging. The operating system, meanwhile, is Android 11 with One UI 3 and Samsung promises that it will receive three years of support for operating system updates and a minimum of four years of security patches.

Finally, and in terms of photography, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G mounts four rear cameras and one front camera. The rear lot is composed of a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel wide-angle, and a macro and depth sensor of five megapixels each. Selfies will have a resolution of 32 megapixels.
