Have you recently received a message on WhatsApp telling you that your account has been temporarily suspended? Then the system may have detected that you are using an unauthorized version of WhatsApp. In that case, your account will be disabled for a while to prevent security and privacy issues when using the service.
However, it is important to remember that the consequences of using alternative and unofficial apps can be even greater. If, after your account has been reactivated, you continue to use modified applications to access the messaging platform, your profile may be deleted forever. In this way, access to WhatsApp with your phone number would no longer be possible.
These are some of the Applications Banned by WhatsApp
“You must not, directly or indirectly, or by automated or other means, use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, license, sublicense, transfer, display, perform or otherwise exploit our Services, access them or create derivative works from them, in impermissible or unauthorized ways or create software or APIs that function in a manner very similar to our Services and offer them in an unauthorized manner to third parties for their use.”
But which applications violate this rule? We are referring to apps such as GB WhatsApp, WhatsApp Gold, JT WhatsApp, NS WhatsApp, Yo WhatsApp, and WhatsApp Plus. All are indeed based on the official app, but they modify it to add features that, natively, are not available. If you use any of these apps, they are called Whatsapp Mod and it’s risky to use these apps.
The use of these applications is not officially supported by Facebook and it is not possible to check how secure they are. Only the most obvious modifications can be known, those that add features and are visible in the interface. Can you be completely sure that they have not been modified to carry out illicit practices, with code that is invisible to the user? No.
How to Switch from Unofficial WhatsApp to Official WhatsApp
Before applying an account suspension, whether temporary or permanent ban, WhatsApp will warn you. But, if your profile has already been disabled, you should contact the technical service via email. They will review your case. However, if the closure has not yet occurred, you still have time to avoid it by switching to the official application. This is not a difficult task. Here are the instructions on how to do it from GB WhatsApp, WhatsApp Gold, JT WhatsApp, NS WhatsApp, Yo WhatsApp, and WhatsApp Plus.
If you have used GB WhatsApp, follow these steps:
- From GB WhatsApp, make a backup of your chats. You can do this in the settings panel, by tapping on Chats and then Backup. You must make a local copy, on your device’s storage.
- Use a file explorer to locate the GB WhatsApp folder. Then rename it to WhatsApp.
- Delete GB WhatsApp and install WhatsApp from the Google Play Store.
- Restore your chats normally when WhatsApp detects the backup you made from GB WhatsApp.
If, on the other hand, you used WhatsApp Gold, JT WhatsApp, NS WhatsApp, Yo WhatsApp, and WhatsApp Plus, the process is simpler:
- Uninstall Mod Apps, after making a backup.
- Install the official version of WhatsApp.
- Verify your number. Automatically, your chats will be restored in the official version of WhatsApp.
