Xturismo Limited Edition: This super flying motorcycle costs $680,000 and flies at 100 km/h

Flying cars still have a long way to go, but there are already companies that are putting their proposals on the table. One is Jetson and its peculiar Jetson One and another is A.L.I. Technologies, a Japanese startup specialized in drones that have presented its XTurismo Limited Edition.

According to the company, it is the world’s first “practical hoverbike”. It has been in development for some time and it has not been until now that we have been able to see it in operation. Its price? $680,000 and available now for those wealthy users who are willing to fly in certain areas, such as racing circuits.

Flying at 100 km/h

The Xturismo Limited Edition Basic is a hoverbike whose design is reminiscent of a motorcycle mounted on propellers. According to its datasheet, the device has an internal combustion engine and four electric motors.

It measures 3.7 meters long; 2.4 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. It weighs 300 kilograms and has a load capacity of up to 100 kilograms. According to A.L.I. Technologies, its maximum speed is 100 kilometers per hour (more or less like the Jetson One) and its range is between 30 and 40 minutes.

The bike has been seen in motion on a circuit, where it has flown a few meters, as we can see in the video above these lines. In any case, it is still to be seen flying through the cities, so for the moment, it is relegated to the flight in a circuit.

According to Reuters, the company has received financing from Mitsubishi Electric and Kyocera, and its suppliers include Kawasaki Heavy. The vehicle is priced at $680,000 and has been available since last Tuesday. Deliveries are scheduled for the middle of 2022, according to the company.
